For the last two or three months, I've thought a lot about how I'm going to decorate my apartment. I started off with a modern look in mind, then decided I much preferred classic. Then I realized that the kitchen is so modern that a classic look wouldn't work. Finally I decided to mix both.
The result is going to be wood moldings on the walls - wainscoting and crown molding - in a color that goes well with the kitchen. In the middle section of the wall I'll put a few paintings with those little lights over them. In the bedroom, instead of paintings I may upholster the walls with silk or some other nice fabric just to give it a fancy touch. I haven't decided on furniture just yet... |

I am wondering how feasible it might be to get someone in to measure for blinds/curtains before closing, so that they could be ready to install right after closing (before I move my stuff in). Has anyone discussed logistics of this sort with 10WEA?

I've had a lot of people come measure for various improvements. Just call the sales office and make an appointment. No biggie

We arranged with the building staff to bring someone from the window treatment shop in to measure the windows. We are working with the Janovic folks on a variety of verticals and treatments. It took less than 30 minutes for them to measure everything. The one issue we have to address before ordering the treatments is where to hang them from the top based on the 4 inch opening of the windows.

Has anyone moving into the J line gone in and taken pictures? I want to make sure that my memory is correct when I'm buying furniture - pictures could help!
Also, has anyone figured out if there is an easy way to hang window coverings - is there enough of a lip to attach the fixture to? 24 days and counting! Thanks Rachel |

Window coverings will have to be hung from the ceiling. But putting in a track for this is something that a professional installer knows how to do. One of my friends who is an architect says it is actually very good that the stuff will go into a concrete ceiling (as opposed to drywall or plaster ceiling or wall) because it is much stronger that way.
