Good Neighbors

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

I don’t know if anyone else has noticed this, but I feel like the people that live in 10WEA are exceptionally friendly. It seems like every week I have another invite to have some drinks with one of our neighbors or to stop over and watch whatever sporting event is on TV that Sunday. And just last night I was hanging out in my condo with a friend when one of my neighbors stopped by asking if we wanted some of the chocolate chip cookies she had just finished baking. Seriously, fresh baked cookies! I felt like I was in an episode of Leave It To Beaver or something. My visiting friend asserted that he had definitely never been given cookies by a neighbor, though he did once live in a building where the guy next door used to drop the wrapper from his granola bar in front of my friend’s door every morning, without fail. We all agreed that, of the two, cookies are the preferred option.

Exciting News. Almost full.

The building has been open for around a year and there are only six condos still unoccupied. Considering the rate at which people are buying them up I’d be surprised if there are any more open units come the spring. I know that for us the big selling points were the amazing views of the river and the location only a few blocks from our office right in Midtown, but the in-house gym and pool and the valet parking certainly aren’t bad features either. The playroom looks pretty awesome too, but as a 29-year-old single guy I generally don’t have a lot of excuses to go in there. :) It’s enough to make me kind of envious of the parents in the building.
