I went to the model homes party the other night and if you were there you probably also were impressed by how many people came, the physical beauty of the space that the event was held in, and of course the impressive decor of each model unit.

For those of you who didn’t get to go, it was a really nice social for the building sponsored by Country Living, O at Home, House Beautiful, and Veranda. They each decorated a unit in the style their magazine symbolizes. Country Living gave out free magazines in their unit, one of which now resides on my coffee table. I asked for permission to post photos ahead of their print release and if granted, they’ll go on this blog.

It was also nice to see the sales staff again, including Loretta and Paula, as well as Brett from Marans and Weisz. In addition, I got to gossip with Tim (the super) and meet some more very interesting neighbors. Highlights include that Gotham is planning to finish construction and that the pool is scheduled to open around the first week of November. There are approximately 24 units unsold, but many of them are in contract so about 10 are still left.

Finally, it was nice to see what the building’s most breathtaking outdoor spaces look like. Basically, when you look up it’s reminiscent of laying in a field. You can see the whole sky. And looking ahead there are panoramic views in each direction.

We hope to see everyone on the 14th floor at 6:00 – 7:30 tomorrow for the get-together that is being hosted by the building and Hearst Home Group.  We will have the chance to see the way the model apartments have been decorated by Country Living, O at Home, House Beautiful, and Veranda.  It should be a lot of fun!
