The little things we’ve been waiting for are now being completed. The elevators have brand new floors. We have silver panels with our apartment numbers next to the door, and the top and bottom locks are in for many of us (thanks Tim and Mike!)  Mailbox keys have been distributed and all final punchlist items are being completed. As you know, we’re privileged to have totally unobstructed views of the water and New Jersey from the front-facing units – something that gives us a clear benefit economically and from a quality of life perspective. I often wonder for how much time we will enjoy these views.

I did a little bit of calling and investigating to learn more. My research indicates that we will continue to enjoy excellent views for years to come. Highrise construction involves a long, complex regulatory process which has not been commenced.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if they just put a public park there? Maybe one with a sweet little coffee shop on the corner? Let’s hope.

Our very kind and responsible do-it-all girl is looking to fill her Wednesdays with a housekeeping position at 10 WEA. She’s been with us for about 3 months and we adore her. Kim is hard working and dependable. She is also very familiar with the building and staff. We are happy to recommend her as an addition to your household.

Kim is also available in the evening for babysitting!

- There are approximately 14 closings next week.  The higher floors are starting to become occupied, and closings will continue each week until October. 

- The lobby is now features two beautiful, colorful pop art paintings. 

- The gym was recently made over with bamboo around the columns and frosting on the glass, making the gym more zenlike and less see-through.  TVs will be added to the walls shortly.  Still waiting on the pool opening.

 - The elevators debuted last week, and look fantastic.  No more boards.

- Mailboxes will be available within the next few days.

- The dry cleaning service is open for business.  You can find it beyond the front desk and service elevators, by the rear door to the building.

 -  We’ve spoken to many other owners at 10 WEA and all are pleased with the staff’s helpfulness.  It seems everyone agrees that we’ve got a great group of people working at 10 WEA.
